News
Sunday 13th May. Charity Fun Day.
Raising funds for The Lollipop Fund at Darenth Valley Hospital and Diabetes U.K.
Brooke and her support team of approximately 30 walkers gathered at Greenhithe station at 2-o-clock on a fine sunday afternoon.
After photographs had been taken the walk commenced with the sound of a klaxon and the roar of hundeds of motorbikes (well 5 actually).
At about 4:30 they had nearly all arrived at the Crayford Arms to be met by a group of cheering locals.
Teressa and two of her friends had decided to turn the walk into a pub crawl and had fleeced most
of the pubs locals ... well done.
At the Arms Glen Campbell was pumping out the music while various stalls were doing brisk business.
The entertainment went on 'til 9-o-clock in the evening with many beers and fruit juices being drunk.
Thanks must go to: June and Kelly behind the bar, Graham the BBQ, Mr and Mrs 'H' in the kitchen, Dee, Angelle,
Charlotte and all the ladies on the various stalls.
Thanks most of all to Brooke, Bobby and Lee for their sterling efforts to raise money for Diabetes UK
and the Lollipop Fund.
Money raised at the Arms: £1300.
Total for the day (all sources): £5000.
